We landed in Puerto Madryn by cruise ship and got a fairly good look at the skyline which included some semi-highrise buildings.
However, our days travels took us toward Punta Tombo Penquin Rookery through the outskirts of the city which had much more of a small neighborhood feel.
From the cruise pier, we went directly west south-west along Hipolito Yrigoyen street to 9 de Julio street to Av 20 de Junio and out into the countryside.
Although the city is said to have a population of about 103,000, it still featured all the graffiti you would expect in a big city.
